The Sapling is an elevated treehouse-inspired getaway stilted among young oaks. The Sapling overlooks the south bank of the Palo Alto Creek to the distant hills beyond. String bulbs will guide you up winding steps into the bright space, lit with a wall of windows letting in gorgeous views and natural light around the classy and comfortable main room. The king bed is two steps up on an elevated platform, and a reading nook can be accessed by a built-in ladder beyond. On the main level is a galley-style kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig and pods, water kettle and a 2-burner stove. Pots, pans, dishes and utensils are well-stocked for a couple’s getaway. The expansive master bath includes a his/hers double shower and six-foot soaking tub in front of a giant window looking out into the privacy of the trees and wildlife (curtains optional). The large private deck has a romantic gazebo for relaxing in while your dinner sizzles on the private propane grill. Nature surrounds The Sapling with a walking trail that loops down by the creek where you may find songbirds, wild deer, armadillos, and more. While The Sapling is secluded and quiet, it’s also conveniently located only 8 minutes from Main Street Fredericksburg. Come relax at The Sapling – everything is better in a treehouse!

Parking is located a short walk from the front door of the cabin down a well-lit path.
Guests must be able to climb stairs. The Sapling has both interior and exterior stairs.
Bedroom is not located on same level as bathroom.

No smoking, no parties, no events. Please respect the privacy and tranquility of any other guests on the property: no loud music in outdoor areas.
No hunting or fishing is allowed at HoneyTree. No drones.
Pets are welcome at the Sapling, but guests with pets may be subject to a pet fee and extra damage deposit.
Please note: while The Sapling is designed to be a romantic getaway, babies and small children are also welcome!
Pack-n-plays will fit, if snuggly. Children can easily tuck into the loft. Bring your own pack-n-play or extra bedding to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

Getting to The Sapling
HoneyTree is located just 8 minutes outside of Fredericksburg off of Hwy 16N. Be mindful when planning your stay to use the directions sent to you along with your reservation instead of relying on Google or Apple Maps.
Check-in & Check-out
The Sapling offers self check-in with the keypad and your unique guest code. Check-in is available starting at 3:00pm the day of your reservation. Check-out is at 11am the day of your departure.
