Hello! We’re Jacob and Katie. Owners, Designers, Builders, and operators of HoneyTree.

The heart of HoneyTree is the story of a couple coming together.

When we lived in the city, we were always searching for the perfect rural getaway.

So we hatched a plan to build one.

At first we clashed over and over again on design decisions, until we called a truce and started to take turns being lead designer on each new cabin. This arrangement has allowed us to have strong opinions and also stay married.

It’s also how we ended up with seventeen unique designs.

We know you’ll find the perfect one to help you mark your special occasion, simply relax or reconnect, and maybe even work through the tricky bits together.

What Jacob Says

Summiting Enchanted Rock, Main Street parades, watching the live reenactments at the National Museum of the Pacific War: Fredericksburg is a magical place. Lucky for me I married a local, but if I hadn’t I would’ve visited and stayed in a treehouse.

 

What Katie Says

I feel like when you visit Fredericksburg you don’t have to make any compromises. History! Shopping! Hiking! But what mostly gets me excited is the food. How many places can you see stars, enjoy the quiet and the wildlife, and get really good food? There are at least five really great places to get coffee! You’ll just have to stay five nights ;)
